i haVE lost my sound on my computer. I had to restore computer and lost internet explorer but got that back with add ons, but i have no sound

i have the icon for sound max but i used to have another icon, when i try and look into it it says i have no audio device.
this has come at a bad time, when doesnt it, since i have started workign from home and need the sound to work Sad

mm, at some stage in my twiddling it does ask me to insert a disc, if that is what you mean by driver.. i dont seem to have a disc.
i reinserted the mother board.
is there somethign else, or can i download it from the internet...

Sorry, I don't really know what I am taking about but think you can download a driver from the internet.

dp agrees, download a driver for your soundcard. He also says its a good chance it is onboard sound, so you may have to update your motherboard drivers aswell.
He says to PM me (!!) If you get stuck and he'll tell me how to help
