We've cancelled sky as it's sooo much money for a load of rubbish, but after a few weeks we are missing sky+! And the sky box misses out a load of freeview channels....

So, as our dvd player is also waaay old and a bit wobbly, thought it might be good to look at Freeview recorder with HD and dvd player / recorder.

Dh is a bit techy but we don't get time to look into stuff, we've a panasonc hd tv, dh will not entertain budget brands, and while sales are on thought it might be a good time to look at buying one?

Could anyone recommend one or spot any mammoth bargains?

Cheers!

Humax are the best! Get the biggest memory you can afford as you will fill it up.

We cancelled our Sky over a year ago and haven't really missed it.

Hitachi ones are cheap and have decent hard drives in them (Western Digital) unlike Humax which now have Seagate.
