fully charged phone not switching on. and fairly new as well! Common prob?

Samsung Galaxy - fully up on battery but now not switching on. Never come acrosss this before. Any fixes known? tia.

I have exactly the same problem with my galaxy s. Particularly if its been in my pocket or handbag. I rake the battery out give it a quick wipe and pop it back. Happens about once a week

on this occassion it just switched on, though only after some dirty looks at it.
