The mac is used by all of the family, however is it possible to have a password on itunes so that the kids cannot see what is on my itunes? i don't mean a password for purchasing but just to stop them having a nosey iyswim?

We set DD up with her own account on the mac, which means she can't get into our stuff. The parental controls also mean we can specify how much time she's allowed, stop her changing her password and limit her access to adult websites.

It's System Preferences, then Parental Controls. Hope that helps.

Giving them their own account and making sure that they're not ad administrator (an option on the account screen) also limits the damage that they can do to a Mac, very useful as they learn their way around :)
