Printer 'spooling' - how do I hurry it up????

I'm trying to print off a document for work tomorrow - a 4 page table. I must have been waiting about 20 minutes now .....

If I click on the printer it says it's 'spooling'. Why does this take so long??? I've gone onto the help function and done what it says there. It's driving me mad! Any suggestions please?

Anybody???? I'm still waiting for it to print and gradually losing the will to live ....
