ipad 2 - help please!

Hi. I've got an ipad 2 which i love, but i've got some questions, and i'm not at all technical!

1. can you recommend any apps for a 5 year old boy? (OK - that's not actually technical)

1. is there a way to get my DVDs on my ipad? the guy in the store said there is some software i can buy and convert them into mp4 files which itunes will then recognise????? how/where do i get software? is there any you can recommend? how do i get itunes to recognise an mp4 file???

1. My 5 year old pretty much plays any games. I do like the Toy Story story book though.

2. Yes, look at something like Handbrake
