Deep breath - I admit I don't know how to stop the music on my iTouch

Ok after having an iTouch for several years I have to admit I don't know how to stop the music. I can pause. But I want to stop it.

I always end up turning the iTouch off entirely.

It must be obvious so I can't ask DP or he'll howl laughing.

Help me but don't laugh. Thanks

But if you press the pause button, then the home key to go back to the main menu, the music stops, no?

I don't think there is a stop button. Well, I always pause it on mine.

Will be interested to hear if there is a better way Grin

If I pause, leave my iTouch does it drain the battery?
And when I go back to my iTouch it's always got 'now playing' on music and I just want it to stop and be back at my album list with nothing playing.

I;ve had mine 2 years. When it is on pause, it doesn't drain the battery. You can press pause then go to Playlist and then home, then when you go back into music, it will be as you left it.

Press pause, then double click the menu button and it will bring all of the apps up at the bottom of the ipod that are still running, hold your finger over the app for a couple of seconds until it starts to wiggle and has a cross in the top left hand corner then press the cross and it will close the app. HTH
