I have the 30 day Shred waiting to help me attain my pre-dc figure. Now I just need a dvd player to play it on. So, I'm looking at a cheap player (up to £50) as it will pretty much only be used for this and the very occasional movie/children's dvd (as we already have a dvd player in the room we usually watch tv in (the floor in there would not take me exercising Wink)). However, there seem to be hundreds of dvd players in that price range - how do I choose? Is there much difference between a £20 player and a £50 player? Can anyone choose for me Grin?

I doubt you will see much difference between a £20 & a £50 one. If it's only for occasional use, go for the £20 and save £30 towards new clothes once you've hit your target weight!

What you will find is that (obviously with exceptions) the cheapest dvd players are easier to hack to make them region-free...i.e. just inputting a sequence of key presses on the remote...whereas expensive brands are more likely to have the region fixed in hardware. Not sure if that's important to you?

I have to say that by far the best playback quality (and reliabilty - it's still going strong from 2002!) of any dvd player I've owned is a Panasonic. Probably built to a totally different standard now, though.
