Problem getting audiobook from iTunes to iPhone

I've tried syncing several times, but every time I open the iPod and then Audiobooks menu on my phone, it says there are none in there.

It's definitely in the iTunes menu on my computer though...

Can anyone help?

PS if you can help, please use layman's terms as I'm a complete numpty when it comes to things like this :)

Could you iPhone be set to manually manage its content? Does anything else sync?

Try plugging in the iPhone to your computer and then dragging the audiobook from iTunes onto the iPhone icon. Any good?

Oh also....

Where is it in iTunes? Is it under Music or Audiobooks? Have you looked under Music on the iPhone?

Where did the audiobook come from?

where did the audio book come from? If it's for eg been copied from a cd then it may not show up as an audio book and you may find it under artists under the name of whoever wrote it. If it's an audible.co.uk audio book then you can download the audible app to your phone and download it direct. hth.

The audiobook was just from the iTunes shop - so it's there on my macbook under 'Books' then 'Audiobooks' on the iTunes menus.

I've searched in every category on my iPhone and it's definitely not on there anywhere under music/books or audiobooks...

Everything else syncs fine - photos, music etc.

BadgerPaws just resynced it, and dragged it over as you suggested, and voila.
