Why can I use a stylus (or more realistically, the end of a pen) on my touch screen phone, and the same won't work on DH's phone. Only a finger works on that.

I want a new phone but I need one where I can use a stylus type thing.

What do I have to make sure I get?

TIA Smile

I don't know which phones you & your DH has. I suspect yours has a resistive touch screen whilst your DH's has a capacitive one.

If you really wanna read the difference, it's here: [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Touchscreen#Capacitive Wiki]]

You can get capacitive styluses. I bought a few from ebay for my ipad but to be honest I gave up with them. That said my neighbour liked it so he's ended up with them. Each to their own I guess.

ah, very useful!

I wonder if the person in the phone shop will know which phones have which?

My fingers will hurt too much if I can't use a stylus.
