Can I charge a Nintendo DS in America? *need to know by tonight!*

We're heading to America tomorrow morning and I need to know whether DS can bring his DS? Obviously there's no point bringing it if I can't charge it over there.

I don't plan on buying a voltage adapter as it would never be used again. We do have a plug adapter.

will it just take longer than normal to charge? or not charge at all on the lower voltage?

thanks

It wil charge fine if you have the plug adapter.

for sure? I think I read somewhere that the lower voltage isn't strong enough to charge it? and the instructions say not to use a travel adapter which may change the voltage

sorry for doubting but baggage space is tight and I dont want to carry it if theres any chance it wont be used!

yes you can use the plug adapter, won't make a difference
our dses were all bought in canada and we have to use an adapter to charge them up, it's never been a problem

It will take longer to charge but all you need is a plug adapter, not a power one.

I do this with mine all the time.
