Kindle and slow internet connection?

Is it unworkable? How big are the e book files?

Book files are small. Often under 500Kb.

So as long as you have a WiFi router, the Kindle will work fine with a low speed net connection.

The Kindle with built in 3G doesn't need a net connection, it makes it's own via mobile phone signals.

Thanks, I'm really surprised they're so small tbh. We have wireless so that's not a problem. Phew, just need to find £111 now!
3G would be totally useless here as there's no mobile phone coverage.
