DH has inadvertently screwed up Facebook on his ipod touch. Any clues?

DH has just managed to 'lose' FB on his ipod. He swiped the screen somehow, and the whole screen apart from a little bar at the top has gone black.

Any ideas what he's done or how to fix it, please?

I would remove the application and re-sync it using Itunes or go to the app store and download it again. Hope this helps!
