Well a free one actually but you know what I mean

If I buy it in my amazon account it won't go on to his kindle will it?

I don't think this facility exists at the moment so far I have only been able to buy amazon vouchers to redeem on kindle account. Would be great to gift books like you can music on iTunes.

You can on the Amazon.com website here but it doesn't seem to be possible on the UK website.

I wonder if you could register with US account. I think it is possible to switch between them.

MmeLindt · 27/02/2011 01:00

ah, no. Just read that again. Free books don't work.

You could try registering his kindle to your account, not sure if that is allowed.

Oh registering his Kindle to my account.....hmm I'll give that a go

If it's a free book, why couldn't Granddad just download it?

DuplicitousBitch · 27/02/2011 19:02

you can get most of the free ones on manybook.com or the guttenburg project and then just email his kindle account with the book. equally you could just find the file on your kindle and email it to his kindle

I don't have a kindle yet

Nick it was to be a surprise when he turned it on next.....but he downloaded it himself in the end
