Hi,

can anyone help please?

When I got back this evening, I couldn't type - the keyboard didn't work.

I assumed it was duff, went and found a spare one and tried that and it didn't work.

Cue running full scan as it was all I could think of...Kaspersky detected a Trojan, something or other win.32,bredolab? anyway, it seems to have deleted it though it said deletion not possible, and it rebooted the computer by itself (weird)

I kept getting a stupid install message about the keyboard, and it still didn't work however many times I installed it, updated drivers etc on device mnager...

anyway suddenly it's started working again, and now Kaspersky just noticed another trojan - exploit? - and I've clicked on detete. It says again, can't delete.
I've never had trojans, don't know what they do or how they get there.

Should I be changing passwords or anything?

If anyone could advise I'd be really grateful.

Thankyou.

it's definitely housecall, will do a quick scan without downloading etc - worth running while you wait for network guy Wink

Constance39 · 12/11/2010 20:27

thankyou mate

what IS housecall anyway?

I am still at about 26% of full system scan so will let it get on with it

have also changed banking pin and password though probably pointless by now

I have no idea what trojans do. apart from stopping keyboards working...weird

do you think it has isntalled a keylogger or summat

OP posts:
southeastastra · 12/11/2010 20:29

it will pick up any trojans and malware etc. its good at very quick

Constance39 · 12/11/2010 20:41

Ta SEA

Wil;l run it after scan is finished to check nothing dodgy left.
The thing is how did kaspersky miss this in the first place? Surely antivirus is meant to stop things like this happening?

southeastastra · 12/11/2010 20:43

i know but they don't - i have about four anti virus things i run once a month or so

Constance39 · 12/11/2010 21:25

glad it's not just me anyhow!

I forgot to do a system scan for a while so will start doing it every week or two.

Thanks for your help and sorry for being a witch earlier
