For various reasons I need to have a go at sorting out a DVD drive on a hand me down laptop. It reads discs OK initially but makes a rattly noise and then starts to struggle, so I think it's just a question of tightening stuff up (it has not been very well looked after up til now). Does anyone have any tips before I dive in?
