Closing down a hotmail account

I would like to close down a hotmail e mail account, delete it for good, but I can't seem to get anywhere, I keep looking at the help section but I get sent round and round in a loop and I suspect they don't really want anyone to close their e mail. Anyone know how to do this?

dp tried to do this because hotmail are so shit!

He has worked in IT for twenty years, has a degree and all sorts and he couldn't figure out how to do it - in the end he gave up

OK thanks, suspected that might be the case, I have just deleted everything out permanently then will just let it die a natural death LOL
