Iphone arrived today

New SIM came with it. Ok so far.

All my numbers are on old SIM/phone. Roughly 150, so really don't want to retype.

How do I get them from ubercrappy old phone to lipsmackinglygorgeousandsexy new iphone? Will new SIM go into old phone and get them somehow?

Told you it was easy, I am just thick with gadgets!

Pretty please?

First use your old phone and check that the numbers are stored on the SIM and not on the phone. If they're on the phone, transfer them to the SIM. Then put the SIM in your iPhone and transfer the numbers from the SIM to the phone?

Don't ask me the fine details of how to do it as I'm not a sheep so I have an Android phone Grin

Are you on O2? I uploaded all my contacts to the back-up online thing, and then downloaded to my outlook contacts and sync'd with my HTC.

[wonders if any of that made sense Confused)

Oh bugger. My Iphone sim is much smaller than my old sim. as such, old sim won't fit in new phone...

damn damn.

On vodafone. maybe they have an equivalent back up on line thing.

Has to be an easy-ish way!!! Can't believe millions of iphone owners have had to physically type it all in again.

thanks for the tips.

New microSIM can go into crappy old phone with a microSIM adaptor. Eg this. I've not bought one myself, that was just the first one that came up in a search.

Alternatively, some phones can send one (or all) contacts over a Bluetooth connection to another phone.
