Hello.

We hope you remember Justine asking you, a while back, to nominate your favourite apps for families? for a special edition of the Lady Geek TV App Show.

Well, if you'd like to see the finished programme, it's - along with a spesh intro filmed just for Mumsnetters.

Enjoy!

PS: The peeps at Lady Geek TV say that if you tell them your other favourite apps by posting on this thread before Mon 16th August, then they'll try to feature them in their next "mums' special"

Just marking my place to watch later Smile

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 12/08/2010 16:23

Load of cobblers.

Hassled · 12/08/2010 19:12

Sorry, but that was woeful. Desperate. What a waste of an opportunity.

ButterpieBride · 12/08/2010 19:57

Got one minute in. Is this a joke?

montmartre · 12/08/2010 21:14

Toddler Lock? OMG- it disables your home button FGS! It's evil Shock

Don't ever install that...

and really, that 'programme' was pretty shocking.

montmartre · 12/08/2010 21:16

Oh.. and what idiot would let their toddler view google image search alone?

'kittens' isn't safe, but 'puppies' is? Do you know what 'puppies' is a euphemism for? [rant]

brenda13 · 12/08/2010 21:25

So surprised at this reaction. I love the show-I'd not seen it before. Its funny and I already downloaded the toddler app.

brenda13 · 12/08/2010 21:26

no what is puppies a euphemism for? Goodness you really are angry?!

silverfrog · 12/08/2010 21:28

abysmal programme - agree that it was a total waste of an opportunity.

the original thread had loads of brilliant suggestions on, and the end programme was full of stuff that (ime) would barely keep a smart-phone savvy toddler happy for a few seconds.

ho-hum.

silverfrog · 12/08/2010 21:30

agree about google images too - as soon as they mentione dit I thought "wtf?!" as if I'd let my 3 year old loose on that!

bizarre choice of app for a supposedly child-friendly programme.

brenda13 · 12/08/2010 21:36

I use google image search for my 3 year old all the time. it really calms her down. its nice to see something different that horoscope apps on a mums show

ButterpieBride · 12/08/2010 21:37

The bit I saw (before i got angry and turned it off) was more patronising than cbeebies.

We HAVE children, we are not actually children ourselves...

I'm actually offended on MNs behalf that someone somewhere read us on here and thought that was the level we want to be talked to at.

ButterpieBride · 12/08/2010 21:38

Justine looks like she is being held hostage.

montmartre · 12/08/2010 21:39

'puppies' is a euphemism for breasts brenda13.

Btw- welcome to mumsnet. it's here for ranting just ask Justine

montmartre · 12/08/2010 21:40

You honestly found it funny brenda?
I found it excruciating- even 'Clive' was embarrassed.

montmartre · 12/08/2010 21:50

Oh... and I'm so sorry Justine- I do love you and nearly everything you do.

Hassled · 12/08/2010 21:52

:o at Justine looking like a hostage - there could well have been a gun pointed at her head. Just out of focus, behind the right shoulder somewhere.

Tee2072 · 13/08/2010 07:45

Yes, Justine looks like she's being held hostage.

The presenter is an idiot.

I couldn't even watch it.

Honestly, MN, get your name off of that!
