Got an iPhone 4 and just about to update the software however I want to make sure my photos are backed up to my pc first. Anybody know where these are stored on my pc?

iTunes?

thanks guys

will have a look in my documents when i get home but think i checked that folder last night

definately not in iTunes - although I know you can transfer photos on your pc to your phone (this will be via iTunes)

I need to find out where the photos that I have 'synched' from my iPhone to my pc are saved

i think there is a way round it by asking the pc to recognise it as a external hard drive and then just copy the photos over but surely this can't be how you have to transfer them every time?

I just wanna print the photos I have taken with my iPhone!

I thought iPhones were good!!!

With a PC that iPhone just works as any other digital camera. That is it should appear on your desktop and you will also get a message asking you what you want to do with it until you say you don't want that message any more.

So it's then a question of how your PC is set up...

Some software might automatically take the photos and copy them into your My Documents folder.

Opening up the camera through Windows Explorer and finding and dragging the photos off of it is probably the best thing to do. And it's also how I would always manage my cameras with Windows.
