You might have to reinstall adobe.

racmac · 21/07/2010 20:43

I tried that and it gets to about 98% completed and then stops and reports an error

What is the error?

I've stopped using Adobe Reader as it seems to use huge amounts of system resource and hang quite a bit. Now I use PDF-XChange Viewer which is a free PDF reader with a much smaller footprint, loads quickly and integrates beeeeautifully into Firefox.

yes, don't bother with adobe reader. I've found foxit works very well with firefox
