yes I'm just about to do mine, have edged it already.

KnickKnack · 10/04/2010 14:18

yep! Have just finished mine...and the sound of lawnmowers has been in the air all morning.

KnickKnack · 10/04/2010 14:19

use a slightly higher setting than you would do in the summer, don't cut it too low the 1st time

cornsilk · 10/04/2010 14:20

mine has had 3 haircuts already.Slatterns

Goingspare · 10/04/2010 14:20

My husband, who gardens for a iving, is apparently going to do ours any minute...

Goingspare · 10/04/2010 14:21

living even.

KnickKnack · 10/04/2010 14:24

cornsilk...lucky you, that implies you live somewhere sunnier than wet old Ireland!

cornsilk · 10/04/2010 14:25

Anywhere is sunnier than Ireland!

tootyflooty · 10/04/2010 14:28

mines had 3 as well, as long as it isn't pouring. If you leave it too long for the first trim it will be yellow

teamcullen · 10/04/2010 14:29

Ahh dont dis Ireland's weather, its the only place I ever get away to.

Oh the green green grass concrete housing estates of Ireland.

Thanks everybody Ill go drag out the mower.

I go there a lot as well. Many happy memories of sitting on the beach wearing thermals in August.

EggyAllenPoe · 10/04/2010 14:32

i hoovered the lawn last weekend, this weekend i have been shaving the bushes.

cornsilk · 10/04/2010 14:33

ohher!

Shaz10 · 10/04/2010 14:35

Ooh time to phone the gardener.

teamcullen · 10/04/2010 14:54

Beaches in Ireland! We are rarely that lucky. Its Clondalkin in Dublin for us. By the time we have been summoned to various relatives, there is no time for beaches.

Or the day we plan for the beach, low and behold.... its raining

Still DCs choose it every year as the place they want to spend their hols.

DS wants to live there because kids in Ireland are allowed to swear!!

KnickKnack · 10/04/2010 20:17

teamC tell your DS I said !!

the rains of Ireland are elsewhere today, kids are a tiny bit sunburned, must dig out the sunblock tomorrow!

and you're all right, crap weather in general but splendid beaches galore

Competitive mowing along here yesterday. Ours wasn't running well though so have gone for the barely trimmed look !
