Hi

Our patio is covered in green algae after our first winter in our new house...so we're guessing that we need to use a pressure washer to clean it all off. Can anyone recommend a brand or whether we are best to buy or rent one?

We have a large patio and lots of white painted rendered walls that need a really good scrub down.

Any advice gratefully received

Thanks

Tortoise - save yourselves some serious ££££ and buy some Patio Magic. Its a cleaner that you mix with water and simply water on to the patio. It takes a few days for the full effect to be seen.

We have just done our large dank patio for £10 and it took about 15 minutes in total. Previous years we have hired a pressure washer (about £20/day) and spent hours doing it and got very wet in the process.

We bought our Patio Magic in Sainsburys Homebase but I guess you could get it in any DIY store.

Oh BBhat shall be doing so this weekend and am already envisaging wonderful results and how I will be singing your praises for all the hard work I don't have to do!

Thank you

I have a pressure washer and tbh I hate it. It just sprays the muck around. I did our patio which is outside our lounge doors and then spent hours trying to clean the doors/sills of dirty brown streaks/marks.
