Find tips and tricks to make your garden or allotment flourish on our Gardening forum.

Can you recommend a good gardening forum (apart from here of course)?!

I see there are dozens out there. I have a garden to completely redesign and renovate thus perhaps need a more dedicated site. I am no expert nor am I a complete numpty!

Your other forum recommendation would be appreciated!

I was on one once but the folks on it were WAY too- well, sanctimonious. They were to forums what Gardeners World is to the RHS...

An example:

Our council got rid of our wheely bins- or rather, they sent us all a letter asking us if we wanted to keep ours for other uses as otherwise they'd be chucked into landfill. I was broke and considered turning mine into a compost bin and asked peoples advice. WELL! I was more or less accused of theft, vandalism, anti-social behaviour...you name it! These folks could NOT get their heads around the concept that the council had ASKED us to keep these bins to avoid unnecessary landfill!

I deregistered. That was a good 5 years ago and I can't recall which forum it was, though I know Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells moves on the same as more objectionable/confrontational posters on MN do, so I'd still rejoin if you thought I'd find what I need on that forum!

To be honest, the people here are pretty enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and probably will be able to give you as good advice on redesigning and renovating a garden as anywhere else.

However, you could try the Shoot forums. That might be more design-led than places like the BBC or the RHS.
