What climber for a sunny wall - evergreen, flowering, 6'x6' ish??

The wall just outside our kitchen, kind of along the side return, could really do with a lovely climber (hopefully something that climbs fast, so we can get a bit of privacy from the neighbours).

Can anyone recommend somehting that meets the following criteria:
:: Fast growing
:: Ok in a pot
:: big - at least 6x6 feet
:: evergreen
:: something beautiful - a long flowering period would be marvellous

Am I asking too much? It a fairly sheltered spot, and gets sun most of the day in the summer - at least until around 3-4pm.

Most climber have quite deep roots so are not great in pots, though if you plant in a large trough type pit you might be ok.
The best evergreen climber with lovely flowers is Trachelospermum, the flowers are very pretty and have a beautiful, heady scent.
Its not really fast growing so you would need to buy a decent sized plant to start off with and probably prune to keep it to size, 6x6 ft is pretty small for most climbers.

Hey, brilliant, thanks Pannacotta, I love jasmine so that'd be a great option.

Thanks will start thinking about a trough - would something maybe 2 foot x 1 foot (and 2 feet deep) be ok?

Its not acutally a Jasmine (depsite the Start Jamine common name) but the flowers look and smell similar. Its growth is much neater than Jasmine and less straggly/twining.
The trough size sounds fine, make sure you use the right compost, one of the John Innes (ask at the garden centre if unsure) and crocks at the bottom for drainage.
Sorry if that sounds bossy, have lost a few plants in pots over the years when I was less careful...

There is an evergreen climbing hydrangea which is quite attractive. A friend of mine had one doing very well in a sunless courtyard - not sure if that means it will grow anywhere or prefers shade though.

Or there is the "Chilean Potato Tree" or solanum - blue or white - which grows like mad. Can't tell if it's evergreen or not though (I used to have one but I can't remember. Anyway if I can grow it anybody can )

Solanum is lovely but its not evergreen and its also pretty vigourous, at least the whhie one is.
That said, it is the longest flowering climber I know, from April to November if its happy though the flowers are unscented...

i've got a chinese virginia creeper. it is variegated, smaller leaves than usual and not nearly so invasive as the normal one. takes a couple of years to get going and is deciduous but beautiful for 9m.

my side return is in shade so i have that and passion flower mixed up with a clematis at the sunnier end.

I think passion flowers are evergreen aren't they? I loved the blue and white one I had on my south facing wall in my last house. It was surprisingly hardy (but we live in the south) and very vigorous.

My Passion flower loses it leaves, not sure if some types are evergreen though.
