Stipa gigantes (that big wavy grass!). Got seeds- how to plant?

OK< 1st issue is the seeds are recent and may therefore not be ripe!

ASSUMING they are, how do I plant them to get them to germinate?

Any ideas?

Sow seeds in cold frame in spring. RHS website here.

I have it in my garden under a birch tree and it looks fantastic at the moment.
