I've tried googling but can't find any other schemes running elsewhere - I think it should be national!

There are transition movements across the country. There's certainly one in the Forest of Dean, which has a Garden Partners scheme as part of the movement. THey usually advertise/leaflet drop when introducing the scheme to a new area, I think.
