Pumpkins

This morning I've transplanted my sunflowers into large as I've run out of ground space. Will they be able to grow in them - they're large pots, the kind you grow potatoes in.

Also, can I leave them outside now?

Sorry, not sunflowers (been doing them too) but pumpkins.

And I put them into large pots.

I got wet whilst doing all this so I'm a bit frazzled and soggy.

Yes but you'll need to give them a liquid feed from time to time and water them loads if it is hot (probably twice a day if it is hot & sunny in the summer).

Re outside now - have you hardened them off by having them outside for some of the day & bringing in at night? If not you might want to do that for a bit first. Otherwise depending on where you are they should be ok - we are in West wales, I'm going to plant my squashes out as soon as it stops raining for 5 minutes, but they've been hardened off & I'll probably put cloches over them (the latter mostly needed because we're near the coast & get ferocious winds at this time of year).
