Carrots,tomatos,potatos and little gems

have in the last week flowered

well apart from my carrots that is,but am hoping it wont be too long.

my little gems are in little pots so am wondering if i need to put them in a bigger longer pot or individuals, i cant put anything in my garden because its a mess and wont be ready this year.

also with potatos,do i start some more off now because these ones were earlies i think.

im dead excited by the way!!!!

It sound like everything is doing well.

I only have strawberrys and raspberrys this year.

flowered? - jenk I assume you mean started to grow from seed? how big are they? If they've only just germinated they'll need to be left a little while to get bigger
can you use grow bags? - they would probably be better to transplant the little gems into rather than pots - although I guess it depends on how many you want to grow!

the potatoes were seed potatos i put them in about 3 weeks ago and they have green stalks and leaves on them,they are in a special grow bag thingy for potatos,i havent touched them yet tho.

thanks for the tip with the little gems,ill transplant those into a grow bag as they are getting bigger and i dont want them to outgrow the little pots, the tomatoes are quite slow though.

Hi jenk - my toms are slow too but normally once they get going they grow really quickly! I try to keep them in smallish pots (one per pot) until they look good and established and the first flowers appear before putting them in their final big pot. Read somewhere that if they go in the big pot too soon they spend their time growing and not making flowers!
Don't know about the potatoes - I guess whether you start any more depends on how many you eat! I've only grown one bag potatoes before, with DS, as we're not big potato eaters!
Hope they all grow well - theres always a sense of achievement at eating veggies you've grown youself!
