Hiya,

I was thinking about my veggie patch as I've been woken up by little Boo and can't sleep now, I was wondering what I need to do next to keep things going and thought how cool it could be to have a celebrity veggie grower on hand to ask these questions to.

With this in mind I began to think about my top 3 questions I'd ask Greg if I got the chance.

Here they are:

  1. How do you decide what to grow?
  2. What's the easiest vegetable to grow which you can't mess up?
  3. If you could have just 3 veg to grow, what would they be and why?

I was wondering what 3 questions you'd ask Greg Wallace if you had the chance?

Hi, your message made me smile as my DH and I often giggle about Greg Wallace and his reactions to desserts on master chef. I'm sure you are probably looking for gardening related questions but I'd love to know what his favourite dessert is!!! The one that makes his eyes go misty-est (not sure if this is a word but think you will know what I mean).

On a serious note I would ask Greg how the hundreds of seeds my husband seems to sow each year are yet to bring a true harvest of eating proportions - two spring onions and a couple of potatoes last year just didn't impress!

lol, hehe, yes very funny...well for me the desert is black forest gateau - mmm misty just thinking about it...

it's my first year growing and I've started from baby plants so the main thing is to stop birds getting them...but I'd want to know how to get a good harvest from seeds too, I won't be impressed either is I only get 2 spring onions and a few potatoes......

thanks for that

Lidl veg seeds are very good - high germination rate and are only 20p per packet. Sow in anything that holds compost and stagger the sowings.

1)Do you turtle wax your bonce?

2)What is the role of food in your sex life....warm, meaty, moist...little bit of a bite there....mmmmmm....

  1. What the fuck is an "ingredients expert"?
TheCrackFox · 05/05/2009 17:52

Celebrity Vegetable Grower and Supplier to Top Restarants = greengrocer.

GentleOtter · 05/05/2009 18:46

Who is Greg Wallace anyway? Please don't tell me there is a celeb greengrocer nowadays.

Ingredients expert = greengrocer.

GentleOtter · 05/05/2009 20:09

No, really.
Is he on TV or something? Has he emerged by osmosis from a barrow load of parsnips?

Kathyis6incheshigh · 05/05/2009 20:14

I would ask him how he got on telly.

If I want to know anything about gardening I just ask my cleaner. She got her tomatoes to ripen last year before anyone else in the village.
