Courgette first aid!

My formerly vigorous plants have started to go very floppy and some white spots have appeared. There may have been some overwatering (never leave an unattended 3 year old with a watering can )? Does anyone recognise what this might be?

Sounds like mildew, caused by damp conditions. There isn't much you can do,apart from parting the 3 year old from the watering can.If it is any consolation, all my courgette plants went like that last year & I still had a huge crop.

Ta - it's good to know not all is lost. As for the 3 year old - well, it's my own bloody fault for trying to be all earth mothery and teach her about growing vegetables

I am desperate to plant them out but we are in the north so I think it's too early yet.
