london snow! are my tulip and daffodill bulbs doomed???

about 20cm of snow in our garden! are my spring bulbs doomed? a few where sprouting last week!

no they'll cope (they do up north anyway!)

I think the danger will come if there's a big freeze. Are they in pots? If so, make sure the pots are standing on pot feet and so can drain - they're likely to be very soggy once the snow melts.

I've heard that too and it seems to be true. Several things turned up their toes a fortnight ago when it was -8 degrees, but nothing (yet) seems to have been killed by the snow (except for the hanging basket, which became so heavy that the bracket fell off the wall ).

They should be fine. Think about it -the places with the most famous wild daffs are the Lake District and the North York Moors!
