Indestructible house plants for a south facing windowsill

Just that, really. I’m not naturally green fingered but recently inherited some house plants from DM and seem to be doing okay with them so thought I’d try a few more. Not too big, need to be tough and idiot proof and capable of surviving a chilly house in winter.

Any cacti or succulent, pothos, spider plant, monstera adansonii, mother in laws tongue would all fit the bill.

A regular monstera would also love the sun, and can tolerate a brown thumbed person, but may be too big for what you want.

Most houseplants die from overwatering. Healthy houseplants are often neglected houseplants

Money plant or jade plant water infrequently and full sun

If you've also garden space and plan to grow tomatoes or whatever next year, make sure to leave space on that lovely south-facing windowsill for the seedlings! Or have somewhere to move the plants you have there over the winter elsewhere for those few months.

Both lovely easy to grow.
I don't like houseplants ( no allergies or anything it's just my mum was a hoarder and had dozens of them ) so I don't have any ( got a fake one for a corner shelf)
