Garden design apps or websites for planning a north-west facing garden

Hello! Newbie here.

can I ask, has anyone found any good garden design apps or websites? Something where I can diagram my garden with a NW facing direction and it will show me planting and layout ideas?

Not exactly what you are after, but RHS plant finder is a great free tool for finding out what plants will suit what conditions.

So you could put in you soil type, hardiness zone, aspect etc. Then stipulate any other parameters i.e. you want lots of evergreens, or things that flower in purples and pinks etc etc.

Once you have built your list of suitable plants you could ask Gemini/ChatGPT to give an example using a photo of your garden and a list of those plants.

A note of caution using AI for garden projects - spacing isn't accurate and neither is flowering time/final size. So use it as a rough inspiration guide but then check back to the specifics of your planting list.

Also don't rely on AI solely for planting lists - they are generally the same limited list of plants not accurate to the conditions of your garden.
