Customer service is rubbish , sent me the incorrect 3 Hostas i ordered. I emailed then after no reply after a week I phoned and told to wait another week for them to change colour. Just emailed again see how long it takes for a reply. I definitely will not be using or recommending this rubbish company.

I've used them twice and each time they have been spectacularly bad. First time I bought plants of more than 1 variety, but they were mixed up and unlabeled. Second time the plants were very badly packed with too much space in the box, so everything was battered when it arrived.
I won't use them again, they are cheap for a reason - very poor customer service

@Kallibaby I think you have posted your real name on that screenshot?

And no-they are not the same!!!
Thanks for the heads up!

Hard agree.

i know you didn’t ask 😄 but

I have never had any problems with
Peter Nyssen (really really good)
Beth Chatto (bit expensive)
Claire Austin
Old court nurseries
farmyard nurseries
fwelve nunn for helleborus (the plugs were a bit small this year)
and sainsburys! If you catch the plants within a few days of being delivered.
Hardy Geranium Nursery
Burncoose (expensive but worth it for specimen plants)

Sarah Raven hit and miss
Farmer Gracy is fab if you have a greenhouse to grow things on.

I thought this was going to be about Sarah Raven . Worst gardening company ever .

Your slugs and snails will not be leaving you a cash tip

With Hostas, where they are grown has an effect on colour, so it might be they weren’t in ideal conditions and haven’t got their true colour yet.

I’ve never had a massive issue with J Parker’s, although I have had a couple of plants just drop dead after I’ve planted them

HoppityBun · 11/06/2026 02:44

The photo does look yellow, but if you read around the different descriptions online, some say yellow to lime green and one said lime green bordered with white, which is what your photo looks like. If you look at the link I’m providing you’ll see what I mean.

My experience with J Parker is that they’re ok and I’ve had several orders from them in the past with no problems.

They admitted yesterday that they was labelled incorrectly and has issued a full refund.

JParkers have really gone downhill in the last few years, I've heard lots of negative comments about them.
