Rose but no rose arch for it. What would you do

Help. I’m new to gardening.
I want a rose arch at the bottom of the garden and have already bought a ‘Gertrude Jeckyll’ which can be trained to climb a frame.

I’d also ordered a rose arch online (so I did get a bit ahead of myself buying the rose before everything was ready for it).

Anyway the ‘heavy duty’ ruse arch arrived. It was very flimsy and not fit for purpose so has been returned.

I guess i’m going to have to bite the bullet and invest in a decent quality rose arch but my dilemma now is what to do with the rose which is still sitting in the pot I bought it in.

Should I plant it now in the garden around about where I think the foot of the mythical rose arch will go?
What would you do for the best health of the rose (which I think at the end of the day can just grow into a shrub shape if the watch never happens).

Any recommendations for a decent quality/priced rose arch would also be appreciated.

It'll be fine in the pot until you get a new arch. Just water it and it'll be fine.

You could pot it up into a bigger pot if you think your search could take a while.
