Can I replant daffodil bulbs deeper now or wait until dieback?

Most of my daffodils failed to flower this year and I think it’s probably because the bulbs weren’t planted deeply enough.

Is it too soon to bury them a bit deeper or do I have to wait for the foliage to die back first?

I've dug them up in full leaf in the past and planted them deeper.

They were fine and flowered the next year.

@FoulBlister that’s great to know. I’m itching to get on with it, and if I think too long about it, I’ll end up not having the will to actually do it.

I think you might even be better doing it now while the leaves are strongly growing and attached.. In the past when I've let the leaves die back a bit they all snap off and I end up losing track of where the bulbs are and leaving them behind.

Good point!
