What small plants/ground covering grow well in full sun pots that dry out very quickly? Many thanks

Thyme?

Dammit got beaten to Thyme. Pelagoniums. Succulents.

Yes, those three mentioned by @LadyGardenersQuestionTime are about it.

Are they terracotta pots? If so, sometimes the best way to water plants in those is to dunk them in a bucket of water so the terracotta soaks up water as well as the soil inside. They take longer to dry out that way.

Erigeron is lovely.

Creeping thyme, sedum, aubrieta and trailing lobelia all cope pretty well with hot sunny pots that dry quickly. Lavender and small dianthus varieties can also work if you don’t mind watering occasionally during heatwaves.

Thanks so much all! Looking at sedum and succulents as it would be nice to keep them at a low level
