Whereabouts are you? It’s probably cheaper if you get it from somewhere fairly local. I’m assuming you need loads, other wise you can just get bags of it from Amazon!

Strulch is good. T&M occasionally do a deal of 2 for 1. Amazon sell it too.

Also correct that local suppliers might be your best bet for any larger quantity, and they are usually good quality and passionate about what they do.

If you need a lot of it, your local builders merchants probably sell composted bark, and they would be able to deliver.

Have you tried garden centres or builders merchants near you? I had 4m3 of soil delivered yesterday, but they also sell various sizes of bark, different soils and composts etc.

In Bristol you can order it to be delivered in large amounts from Bristol Waste. It’s made from the composted green bin collections. Perhaps other areas have a similar scheme. We have found it excellent quality and a good price.

Thanks for this - we've just moved (back) into Bristol, decent sized garden and will definitely need some local compost. Didn't know about this! 🌱

I used Apsley - their stuff is the residue from a biodigester
I found it very heavy when wet and too light when dry.
