Can you suggest how I tidy up this plant?

I bought it not so long ago and it was fairly small - it clearly loves where it is. I know it needs repotting but I think I’m meant to wait till March? But also, I want it to grow up and not out - what can I do?

I do not have green fingers! Thanks

Can you suggest how I tidy up this plant?

I have two of these! love them. With yours I would snip off the big lower leaves with no slots/ holes. This will slim the lower section and make the plant a better shape and more consistent leaf style.

I have tied string around mine to stop it being so wide.

Also. These plants are naturally climbers and like growing against a wall or corner or like a pole to grow up/ lean on. I can never get them to grip the poles with their arial roots but they do love a corner spot.

There are a lot of plants in that pot! In the spring take it outside and wash all the soil off the roots with a hose. Then separate out the individual plants. 2 or 3 monstera in one pot would look good. A single monstera per pot can look a bit leggy.

When you pot them up again put a moss pole in the centre (they need support to grow up) and position the plants so their backsides face the pole. (monsteras have a front and a back. Look at the stem, the front is where the leaves come out, the back is where the aerial roots come out.) Tie the stem onto the moss pole (don't tie the leaves) you can get plant velrco tape which is great for this. Use a chunky potting mix - you can buy this online.
