How do I get rid of this weed? It’s pretty determined.

So it’s a pretty weed with lovely yellow flowers at times but it’s taking over.

I pulled it all out once but it’s back.

Do I have to use weed killer which will kill everything else like Heather and lavender growing in the patch.

Any advice please?

How long ago did you pull it out? Weeds do grow back pretty fast. It looks like without the weed cover you would have bare soil between some of your plants. If that’s right, it will help if you cover the bare soil with another ground cover plant that you prefer - something dense and fairly tough.

You have to keep at it. After you pull a load up, the remaining seeds in the soil will germinate. Pull those up, and another lot will come.... and again. You have to do it a few times before you start to win.

Weed it out and when seedlings reappear hoe them off and repeat. A thick mulch of compost or manure will bury them.

Just keep going with pulling it out. No point using weed killer
