Can you recommend good looking evergreen plants with nice flowers?

Have a narrow border to fill, next to a brick wall - its North facing but gets dappled sunlight from the West.
We can see the area from our kitchen so would like to use evergreens but with decent flowers.
Have chosen a Choisya Ternata so far with pretty white flowers but cant seem to think of any others!

We havea winter flowering jasmine that has cvovered a huge wall and is very nice and hardy - get 2 lots of flowers - one in winter and one in spring!

Good idea, thanks.
Am esp keen to find things which look good in the summer, as the border is by the patio and we sit out there quite a lot (weather permitting.....)

California lilac? Really strong blue flowers.

Viburnum opulus has lovely white flowers now and the foliage turns red in autumn. You'll get more bangs per buck if you add some ground cover and/or bulbs - that way, you can more or less guarantee to have something to look at all year round.
