I REALLY want to graft my hydrangeas but nothing seems to work

I’ve tried a few techniques and the roots just don’t grow. Does anyone have a technique that absolutely will work for hydrangeas or are they just really tricky? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hydrangea cuttings are normally really easy. Annabelle should be given away free she’s so happy to grow from a stick shoved in the ground. Now is a good time of year especially if you can find a few non flowering shoots. Usual process, cut below a leaf node, take off most greenery, gritty compost, put them somewhere sheltered and shady and leave them for a good while until they are showing signs of growth.

Any videos as I’m obviously doing it wrong 😬

I saw a reel the other day, but can't link.

he cut a leaf off, cut the top of the leaf off (to about 1" and then pushed it into a slice of banana, put that into potting soil and it grew roots within 28 days.

Good luck!!

Do you mean graft or take cuttings? They're very different terms

I don't know about grafting but I do know that i just push cuttings into the ground and most of the time they grow.
