Bare root sprouting

Got an order of bare roots and some of them like the astrantia were quite leggy.
I’m soaking and will plant in pots to grow a bit but are these leggy ones likely to succeed?

Try putting them in bigger, deeper pots and cover up the stems with more compost

I’ll put them in bigger pots, theyre just in those ones soaking.

Bury them up to their shoulders as my dad would say.
I potted on some leggy cornflowers today and had to do the same

I’ve done that now. I reckon the warm weather has got the bare roots racing off.
They were ordered a few weeks ago but just arrived; hoping they’ll be fine

Can I reasonably expect the plants to get established and flower this year?
