Is it worth trying to save this Clematis Armandii?

Got this clematis armandii from T&M a few weeks ago, they've sent a healthy replacement. Is it worth trying to save it or is it beyond help?
Its done nothing since it arrived, no change whatsoever, doesn't even seem to have a growing point. The replacement has grown loads already.

I'd repot it in fresh compost and keep my fingers crossed!

I am a sucker for a nursling!
Keep it lightly watered, not in direct sunlight and give it a month.
I presume you have repotted it?
