I've got tiny white flies in my composter that fly everywhere when I take the lid off. I am quite new to the composting lark and would like to know if these are normal? Does anyone know what they are and should they be there or am I doing something I shouldn't? Also, Compost not really breaking down well - any tips?

normal for the flies!
to break it down mix it a little with a stick and try adding mens urine this helps the breakdown process honest!
