Electric scarifiers/rakes - anyone got one, any advice ???

I seem to have jiggered my elbow after a number of vigorous lawn raking sessions last week, so dp has managed to persuade me that an electric rake/scarifier would be a good idea. Anyone got one? Any recommendations? I have around 2 weeks to find one before the treated (hopefully dead!) moss needs raking out of the front lawn.

Our back grass is partially overhung by oak trees, so always needs raked each spring to remove zillions of small twigs, oak galls and acorn cups before it is mown for the first time. Will an electric scarifier cope with this too ? Or is that just wishful thinking....

There are such a range of prices for scarifiers - what do I need to spend? We have no aspirations to bowling green standard lawns - just something that looks passable without a lot of the hard work. Is it worth looking at the ones that you can fit blades to to aereate the lawn as well ? Thanks.
