Can I bring my dried up bamboo in a pot back to life?

It's been outside throughout the winter and is looking very dried up - all brown leaves but alas there are green stalks! If I give it a good water will it come back to life or is this the end?

If there are green stalks there is a chance. I have now stopped growing bamboo in pots as I had the same trouble - there seems to be no pot big enough for them and they all suffer. Get it out of the pot (this can be really difficult) - if you need to keep it in a pot buy a bigger one and replenish the soil. Cut out all the dead and preferably divide (this is no mean feat either!). Finally, water well and stand the pot in a saucer/tray.
Preferably plant in the ground if you don;t want to go through the same thing next year!
