Can anyone tell me if i can put tomatoes out into my greenhouse if i put a heater on ?

I have oversewn my seeds again and now got in excess of 200 tomatoe plants ! If i nip to argos and buy a parrafin heater, the 19.99 greenhouse ones , would it still be too cold at night for them.I just cant bar the thought of no consevatory until June !

There's no frost risk, so you shouldn't need a heater if they're in a greenhouse.

Yes, you can. But you'll need to heat the greenhouse to a minimum of 50 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Sorry, no Centigrade as looking at really old book!

ok thanks.ill put a heater in for a few days first and check the temp first then just in case.Looks like ill have to clean it now !

My babies have been in the Greenhouse unheated for 3 nights now and so far no problems - depends on how much of a risk you want to take
