I have bought an established star jasmine plant that i would like to grow up a pergola post. The plant is about 1.8 metres tall and has been grown up 3 bamboo sticks which are tied at the top like a tripod. My question is what do I do with this? Do I unwrap the plant from the bamboo sticks and trya nd wrap each strand around the pergola post? Or do I leave the plant attached to the bamboo sticks but angle it towards the pergola post when i plant it so that it then moves onto the pergola post? Please help! As you can tell I am an absolute novice but very keen to learn!
